Description:

Digital Transformation is designed to provide system leadership to enable the benefits of digital transformation to reach as many people as possible across the NHS frontline in England. It does this by leading on the right levers, programmes and products to level-up digital maturity of the frontline by adopting guidance, implementing national capabilities, funding and scaling-up local programmes and change management.
The Connecting Care Records Programme is a change programme within Digital Transformation and its mission is to ensure that any authorised health and care professional can have safe, secure and ready access to the person-based information they need to deliver high quality individual (direct) care when they need it, where they need it, and in the form they need it, and with confidence in its provenance, regardless of where the person receiving care resides and where the care is being provided.
Delivers significant programme or projects for NHS England targeted at improvements in health outcomes for the public.
Manages the whole lifecycle of a programme of system change, ensuring excellent governance throughout.
Supports organisational change and the uptake of initiative that support and embed excellence within the health system.
Manages the setup and delivery of multiple projects within a programme of work, working with colleagues and subject matter experts to scope, plan design and deliver those projects.
Reviews project reports and risk logs for projects, advising individual project managers on escalation process and supporting delivery of projects where there may be significant barriers to delivery.
Manages the whole lifecycle of a programme of work containing multiple projects, reporting on progress and managing risks and issues, escalating where necessary to the programme/ board.
Provides expertise of best practice project management methodologies.
Ensures realisation of benefits for customers through planning and designing, and that project outputs meet programme requirements.
Supports organisational change and the uptake of initiatives that support excellence.
Demonstrates flexibility and supports new programmes and projects where necessary.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Manage/build relationships with the offices of senior managers/directors within the directorate and wider NHS
Develop good working relationships with stakeholders across the NHS, especially the CIO and wider digital community
Work alongside and support all members of the team
Manage/build relationships with suppliers supporting the programme
