Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experience in programme management, preferably in the healthcare or public health sector.
  • Strong understanding of sexual health issues and testing services.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.

SKILLS

  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to bring together disparate opinions into a cohesive view to drive to an agreed solution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello etc).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Programme Manager will oversee and manage the planning, implementation, tracking and successful delivery of multiple projects within the company’s sexual health testing programmes. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Programme Manager will play a key role in enhancing the reach and impact of our services across all territories

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programme Planning and Development:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and programmatic overview outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with programme activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align resources and objectives.
  • Project Implementation:
  • Lead the execution of programme initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to plans.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among the teams and stakeholders.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Prepare and manage programme budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track and report on financial performance, addressing any variances.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating programme outcomes.
  • Collect and analyse data to assess programme impact and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organisations, and funders.
  • Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and public events.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
