An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join the Institute of Mental Health at the University of Nottingham on the LEND (Lived Experience Narratives in Dementia) programme. The position is based on Jubilee Campus.
The post holder will lead the research team and Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) to develop the Lived Experience Narratives in Dementia (LEND) Intervention, recruitment strategy, and dissemination plan, collecting and interpreting data. This role involves managing the Nottingham-based LEND team and coordinating with national LEND researchers under the supervision of Prof. Martin Orrell. Responsibilities include collaborating with advisory committees, applying diverse research methodologies, and coordinating data collection with people with dementia and their carers. The role offers career development support, including PhD supervision and academic writing. Ideal for those with research experience in dementia care, working with people with dementia as well as their carers. This position suits those seeking to advance within an academic framework.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent (in a related field e.g. psychology). It is essential that candidates have previous project management and/or programme manager experience; have experience working in research with people from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic minorities, people from the LGBTQIA+ communities and people with dementia and their carers / support partners. It is also essential that candidates have knowledge and understanding of HRA ethics, NHS systems and can use CPMS. Membership to a professional body (e.g. CPsychol or similar) is desirable and would be advantageous.
