Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to join us in a newly created role, leading a multi-disciplinary team covering all aspects of the rollout of our Water Quality Monitoring programme.
In addition to delivering the installation of the monitoring equipment, you will be responsible for ensuring that the data collected is integrated into our data-driven approach.
We aim to deliver 500 individual water quality monitoring stations by 2030 and are recruiting the delivery team to undertake this long-term phased programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an ambitious new capital and operational programme from a standing start to comply with regulatory reporting timescales
  • Plan the delivery of the programme to comply with the regulatory requirements while maximising the locations of monitoring equipment to enable the widest use of the data collected to inform future wastewater asset investment and ongoing maintenance
  • Plan and deliver the data capture and analytics of the programme to ensure the greatest application within Wessex Water, aligning with smart network and digital twins across the business
  • Be responsible for data sharing with the relevant national platform for public access and open data approach
  • Deliver the installation of around 2,000 water quality monitoring stations by 2035, including overseeing all elements of location, design, construction, environmental screening and procurement
  • Design and deliver the ongoing maintenance of the water quality monitoring stations once constructed, while also determining and agreeing the structure, resources and controls required
  • Have financial and commercial responsibility for the delivery of the programme from its inception to ongoing operational management
  • Work across the business to share knowledge and data collected from the monitoring system to inform improved wider asset operation and future business or maintenance planning
