SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Director, InfoDive Operations & Development, the Programmer Analyst-II is responsible for developing and maintaining software scripts and programs within the development area of InfoDive which control, extract, and transform healthcare data to be used in analytics.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Healthcare Information, Computing, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years programming using ETL tools
  • Must have experience managing large datasets and performing advanced analytics (i.e. Excel modeling, SQL Server)
  • Experience using Dimensional Insight’s The Diver Solution Product Suite - highly desired
  • The Diver Solution Product Suite - highly desired
  • Strong quantitative skills; math / computer science
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts to less technical users

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attention to Detail: Vigilant in precision of data analysis to draw the correct conclusion of findings
  • Innovative thinker and problem-solver; capable of developing new and creative ways of solving complex problems using data
  • Strong work and time management skills; able to work effectively and independently under tight timelines.
  • Ability to use good judgment in conveying project status and problem escalation
  • Experience in data mining techniques, and knowing when their use is appropriate
  • Ability to present complex data, findings, ideas, and/or information to enable understanding and take action.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, SQL Server, Adobe Acrobat and web-based applications
  • Experience with healthcare data preferred
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications.
  • Collaborate with other staff in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications.
  • Responsible for the quality assurance of program logic processing and error resolution.
  • Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed.
  • Recommend software improvements and upgrades for optional performance of applications.
  • Process client data accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize operating environment
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical users when needed
  • Work to support Diver Solution Product Suite
