Description:

The Account Operations, Member and Client Banking Core Service Centre Department is a large and constantly evolving team tasked with implementing reusable APIs for all of Desjardins Group in 2 different business areas: account operations and member and client data. The team is made up of 8 multidisciplinary squads led by 8 scrum masters, and supported by architects, coordinators and business managers. What’s more, we have a team of managers dedicated to serving our teams and employees. As a programmer analyst, Mainframe and COBOL, you draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovation to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large-scale IT systems, programs and applications. You are responsible for the quality of coded solutions. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Develop complex execution strategies, analyze, design and document business products and solutions
  • Analyze and develop software products (design, code, automate and run tests), while applying development, data and security best practices
  • Write procedures, guidelines and development methods. Help develop documentation that is prepared and delivered for training purposes to peers and users
  • Cocreate with business partners and architects to standardize solutions accordingly
  • Actively look for system optimization opportunities while taking into consideration possible impacts. Analyze, diagnose, follow up on and resolve highly complex operational and conceptual problems during major incidents
  • Lead software package installations and testing as well as inhouse application deployment

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of IMS
  • Knowledge of Db2
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of JCL
  • Knowledge of JSON format (communication between the mainframe and APIs)
  • Knowledge of IDz
  • Knowledge of Control-M
  • Knowledge of MVS mainframe
