Global Technology Services (GTS) is one of the foundational divisions of the TMX Group, that empowers internal TMX business lines for their technology needs, operations and digital innovation. GTS, as a client centric organization, focuses on building technology capabilities, enabling our clients with the best technology solutions and providing effective technology financial and resource management processes. Cost effectiveness is a key attribute of the GTS mandate. GTS is responsible for delivery of all technology initiatives and services across TMX.
You will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team with other Developers, Analyst-testers, Business Analysts and Architects, in an environment where the team works with Kanban methodology. As a Programmer Analyst of the squad you will be involved in the design, implementation and support of business tools (50% Matlab & 50% Python) used by the Operation and Risk teams . As a member of the squad you will be part of the success of the product and its evolution by your commitment, your focus and your team spirit.
Key accountabilities
Participate in the architecture, the design, the development and the maintenance of business automation tools used by operation teams.
Elaborate and execute tests prior to delivery
Collaborate with the team members to understand and to challenge the requirements, design, and the testing cycle
Conduct and participate in code reviews by following the enterprise code standards
Must haves
University degree in Information Technology, Risk or equivalent
Excellent software/system troubleshooting skills
Python programming scripting Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
Matlab programming Minimum of 5 years of practical experience
Knoweldge on Kubernetes and Containers
Good analytical skills and effective problem solver
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Knowledge of Git, Jira and Confluence
Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required, as this role involves regular interaction with partners and stakeholders in both languages.
Nice to haves
Experience using SQL based queries as inputs
Knowledge of Financial market and clearing house concept
