Description:

Specialized firm seeks a Project Accountant with proven expertise with billing/budgeting/forecasting. This role will be responsible for generating project schedules, processing contractor billings, reviewing supplier invoices, maintaining supplier documentation, investigating project variances, assisting with change orders, preparing financial reports, analyzing project profitability, providing billing structures, and review project expenses. This Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, and excellent time management abilities.

  • Create and monitor project accounts
  • Process subcontractor invoices
  • Verify project budgets
  • Provide profit analysis reports to management
  • Compile monthly project reconciliations
  • Audit change orders
  • Maintain documentation for compliance
  • Project Analysis
  • Assist with month/quarter-end process
  • Ad hoc projects as requested

The ideal Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.

Other requirements for the Project Accountant role include and are not limited to:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in engineering, construction and/or architecture industry
  • Power BI preferred, Deltek Vision preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
