As a Project Administrative Assistant working in the Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in supporting the project team(s) with key administrative tasks. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will support the maintenance of project documentation, meeting schedules, and assisting with the coordination of project resources.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist and guide the project team with coordination and project support.
- Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules.
- Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
- Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market.
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.
- Support in the maintenance and building of positive relationships with subtrades, clients and project stakeholders.
THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE
- Roughly 3+ years’ experience in the ICI construction industry.
- A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes and associated legislation.
- A proven track record for project leadership and team collaboration.
- A passion for building and nurturing exceptional stakeholder relationships.
- The successful candidate MUST be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret level clearance.
Additional Assets Include:
- Fluently bilingual in both official languages, written and oral.
