HUMELINK WEST PROJECT

Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500Kv double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Project Administrator to join the HumeLink West JV project team. Reporting directly to a Project Manager, this position will support the transmission lines and construction teams based in Wagga Wagga.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide high-level administrative support by coordinating correspondence, preparing reports and handling information requests
  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of expense claims on behalf of site staff.
  • Assist in managing rosters, including data entry and record checking
  • SAP input and maintenance of purchase orders, including goods receipt, journals and queries
  • Assist with collecting and collating timesheet information.
  • Provide site office support, accurate data entry, filing and daily diary management.
  • Purchase of materials, equipment and consumables including co-ordination of delivery to site
  • Maintain systems and procedures for contractual requirement
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, employees and public, both internal and external, ensuring positive interaction

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar administration role
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Any experience in SAP will be highly regarded for the role.
    The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
    Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
