ABOUT YOU:

You will be a proactive, strategic and creative thinker with a keen interest in advancing agricultural systems for the future. You will have experience in industry/ stakeholder engagement and excellent networking skills, event organization and delivery experience, and research skills in evidence gathering, review and synthesis. You will benefit from being part of the vibrant and dynamic Nature-based Solutions initiative research group which spans both the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment in Geography and the Biology departments. This role presents a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and networks across multiple sectors and research fields in the agricultural resilience space. You will hold, or be close to completion, a relevant PhD; or hold a postgraduate degree with equivalent relevant experience from within or outside academia.
We are interested in hearing from applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds including from academia, industry, NGO or public sectors, and with expertise in any aspect of agricultural research and practice area, including plant science/ agri-tech, ecology and climate, food systems and social science.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a knowledge exchange-focused project lead to deliver core work packages as part of an exciting new strategic project to develop and Agricultural Resilience Impact and Innovation (AGRII) Hub at the University of Oxford.
The successful applicant will build the knowledge base, partnerships and networks for developing the strategic direction of the AGRII Hub and help to identify exciting research and funding opportunities that help to solve the grand challenge of how to better balance food production with nature and climate.
