Directorate: Assistant Chief Executive’s
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week.
As part of the Assistant Chief Executive’s directorate, you will support the Chief Executive in terms of projects, research, analysis and the development of high-quality presentations and other external communications to support them in the delivery of their role.
You will provide quality assurance for outgoing correspondence and undertaking project work as directed by the Chief Executive. This includes working with teams across the organisation to prepare, co-ordinate and contribute to briefings and reports relating to local, regional and national issues and ensuring that the Chief Executive is fully briefed on any relevant issue.
You will take a lead role on specific projects and carry out research to support corporate and strategic initiatives to support the Council in achieving its priorities as directed by the Chief Executive meaning excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be key to build relationships as will the ability to maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
This role will likely appeal to an individual with a real eye for detail, a strong communicator as well as someone with strong organisational, planning and prioritisation abilities.
The successful candidate should hold a Level 7 qualification e.g. Post Graduate Certificates and Diplomas with a considerable breadth and depth of knowledge across the relevant specialist area, or a range of areas or be able to evidence the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
