We are looking for a hands-on candidate ready to pick problems and solve them with autonomy, communicate effectively and be a team player with their colleagues. You’ll benefit from guidance from our team to drive the success of H55 in your area. Our team is growing continuously and we thrive in allowing ourselves to be flexible, improve our processes and adjust our roles and responsibilities to support H55 growth.
As the Strategic Buyer, you will work closely with the Design and Production Operations team, play a vital role in the Purchasing team in a multi-site environment (Switzerland and Canada), with a focus on building relationships with the suppliers, preparing series production and put in place new processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Scope : Electronics, Plastics, Mechanical
- Direct Commodities: Conduct thorough analysis of direct commodity requirements and spend.
- Sourcing Strategies: Develop, update, and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize costs and secure reliable supply.
- Supplier Selection: Organize and manage supplier biddings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs). Evaluate responses and lead the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and all stakeholders
Contract Management and Supplier Relationships:
- Contracts: Negotiate, create, and manage terms and conditions for contracts with chosen suppliers.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain accurate planning documents and follow-up procedures. Clearly communicate project updates, statuses, and reports to management teams.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
- Market Analysis: Continuously analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities within relevant commodity categories.
You profile
- 4-7 years of experience with Electronics, Plastics or Metal purchasing
- Mandatory experience in the Product Development phase, working with R&D teams in an industrial environment
- University degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or another related field.
