Description:
The principle responsibilities of the post are to: Business Development Support with business development opportunities, including the writing and preparation of bids in response to any tendering opportunities that the Trust takes forward. Act as bid coordinator, including working closely with internal colleagues to meet tight deadlines Act as the first point of contact for commissioners answering queries, giving advice and providing information as appropriate. Support Trust colleagues in the mobilisation and/or decommissioning of services following the outcome of tender or new business development opportunities. Collaborate with system partners across organisational boundaries to improve HDFTs services Charity and Volunteers Develop project plans to coordinate and deliver fundraising events and projects in line with the teams Income Plan.
Engage with stakeholders to build the charitys profile, both internally to staff and patients and externally to members of the public, including presenting pitches and attending donor events Raise awareness and initiate contact in the local community with community groups, schools, businesses and individuals. Develop and implement the charitys social media coverage to improve public awareness and knowledge of the charity, its objectives, campaigns, events, appeals and successes. Support internal communications for staff by writing articles for newsletters, staff briefings and the intranet. Develop fundraising newsletters by sourcing news such as recent third party activity, charity events, appeals and charity successes.
Disseminate newsletter to supporters in the fundraising database. Develop content for the Trusts website and social media sites to share the charitys progress Responsible for following and developing charitable procedures, protocols and policies Authorised signatory with a requirement to order fundraising events materials. Support with the charitys audit process, and manage donations in line with the charitys policies and processes Provide project support for implementing new volunteering and/or work experience models. Generic Chair regular internal meetings, and present at Trustwide and external meetings when required Maintain an effective electronic and paper based filing system for storing and retrieving information.
Co-ordinate meetings within the department, to include preparing agendas, collating documentation and taking and transcribing minutes. Participate in, take and prepare minutes at regular meetings, coordinating follow-up actions and assisting in the preparation of agendas. Deal with telephone enquiries, taking action and responsibility where appropriate and relaying information to the relevant manager in a prompt and concise manner.
