Your Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Project Controls and Compliance Coordinator to join our busy and growing water team in Auckland.
As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will take charge of supporting the wider water team in managing multiple projects from their early stages through to construction, ensuring their successful and efficient completion. Your role will involve maintaining strong relationships with internal staff members, as well as our external clients through successful delivery of projects.
Our portfolio includes an array of projects, such as three waters reticulation systems, pump station projects, and three-waters hydraulic modelling, strategic planning, feasibility design studies, and complex design and build projects.

Your Responsibilities:
In this position, you will work collaboratively with design teams and be accountable for the successful delivery of projects, through achieving budgeted project profits, demonstrating professional excellence and delivering good customer satisfaction.
This will involve coordinating and communicating with multi-disciplinary team leads, as well as implementing and maintaining project controls, including scheduling, risk management, and cost control. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with Mott MacDonald’s governance processes and Group Directives. Monitoring project progress while providing regular updates to stakeholders to maintain and strengthen client relationships will also be essential aspects of the role. You may also be required to provide support and input to preparation of proposals for new projects, helping support and grow the business.
To drive continuous improvement, you will actively share lessons learned and offer mentoring support to more junior staff members to support our culture of learning.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification with a track record of success in project management. Essential qualities for this role include excellent relationship management, communication, organisational, and report writing skills. You’ll be able to balance your own workload as well as supporting others to prioritise their time based on an understanding of business priorities. Additionally, you should thrive working under tight timeframes and be adept at handling conflicting requirements and overcoming project delivery challenges.
