Description:

PROJECT AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT TEAM LEADER - SOUTH METRO DEPOT FORRESTDALE WA / PERMANENT - FULL TIME

We are seeking a Project and Contract Management Team Leader to lead and develop a team responsible for delivering work bundles and programs, including new technology such as Streetlight LED luminaire replacements. This role ensures the effective delivery of projects in line with the Network Investment Plan and commercial contracts, adhering to contractual requirements and the enterprise-wide Contract Management Framework.
This position also provides technical leadership, contractual expertise, and value-added services to address commercial risk, opportunities, and value derived from contracts and ongoing supplier relationship management. You will offer commercial advice and direction to the team in strategy development, negotiation, and contractor performance management.
This leadership role is critical in setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for the required outcomes, quality, and timely delivery. If you have strong program management experience and a passion for driving results, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Role modelling safety leadership by ensuring a consistent approach to workforce training and development, providing access to appropriate systems, and supporting activities that contribute to developing a safety conscious workforce.
  • Guiding and coaching team members to build strong, direct relationships within their teams, as well as develop and nurture talent, providing clear career path/growth opportunities.
  • Accountable for the delivery and managing the implementation of assigned projects and work bundles, including responsibility for ensuring that scope, quality, time, and budget targets are met and for managing the associated risk and benefits realisation.
  • Accountable for the effective and efficient management of Western Power contracts of significant value, complexity, and reputational impact, complying to Western Power’s Contract Management Framework
  • Responsible for the management of a team of professionals performing the roles of Project Managers and Coordinators, Contract Managers and Delivery Specialists within Western Power, ensuring they are accountable for contract deliverables and for ensuring the appropriate level of resourcing is available for the delivery of works. Effectively manage resources within your team including people and equipment.
  • Ensure the adoption and conformance of the appropriate program and project management principles, techniques, controls, processes, and approaches, aligned to Western Power’s standard project governance frameworks and systems.
  • Implement business initiatives, procedures, and processes within the team.
