Description:
The mission of the Business Services, Desjardins Group Support Function and Regulatory Sector Project Delivery Administrative Department is to optimally carry out projects in the investment plan and oversee delivery risk management practices, including managing key interdependencies, improving project delivery methodologies and ensuring dynamic capacity management. This department plays a key role in project delivery through sound risk and challenge management to ensure the delivery of value for our members and clients. As a senior project control officer, you help plan and monitor projects to meet objectives on time and on budget. You work alongside the project/agile leader and serve as a point person for the team to help them meet their performance objectives. You are the resource person for project management tools, planning and performance monitoring. You are the point person for the implementation of Project Delivery Office processes and requirements. More specifically, you will be required to
- Help the project/agile leader and their team monitor projects, small programs and small groups of projects and ensure they are efficient.
- Plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet objectives.
- Monitor initiative budgets, timelines and scopes in order to produce reports.
- Anticipate issues and trends, propose solutions and ensure they are implemented. Analyze and diagnose issues and then recommend innovative solutions.
- Assist the team with risk, issue and document management.
- Ensure project management best practices are followed.
- Help the team update the timeline by keeping track of milestones and key dates for squads and contributors. Monitor the timing of milestones and key dates for squads and contributors.
- Monitor and analyze the plan, make resource capacity recommendations and update the project plan.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Significant experience as a project, program or portfolio project control officer
- Project management experience in the banking sector
- Significant experience delivering multiple projects at the same time with multiple stakeholders
- Professional certification in project management
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Project
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency with Oracle and Power BI
- Expertise in an agile environment
