Description:
Electricity North West has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controller in Preston or Carlisle. The full-time role comes with a salary of up to £51,484.08 and excellent benefits.
As Project Controller, you will provide comprehensive project support to the Major Projects team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate project data for our entire portfolio of projects, from handover to initiation through to construction and project closedown.
In this Major Projects Controller role, you can expect to:
- Set up major projects in the Chime system, establishing target spend and volume profiles
- Liaise with Project Managers to understand actual project status
- Provide accurate and timely reporting
- Produce ad-hoc reports as required supporting the management of the overall Major Projects Connections Programme.
To succeed in this Major Projects Controller role, you will need to be passionate about delivering a first-class customer service in the provision and alteration of major electrical demand and distributed generation projects, up to and including 33kV/132kV. You will also require the following:
- Strong commercial astuteness and awareness (essential)
- Strong IT skills with intermediate to advanced excel (essential)
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail (essential)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate to a broad range of audiences (essential)
- The ability to work quickly to a high degree of accuracy (essential)
- The ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines, combined with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team (essential)
- A working knowledge of SAP or similar corporate finance system (essential) & Chime (desirable)
