Description:

OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A PROJECT SUPPORT ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE WITHIN AIRPORTS OR CONTROL SYSTEMS OR SIMILAR.

You will support a project to install passive IT infrastructure, which includes networks, associated assets and connected devices such as common use terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A similar project support role within a complex Airport or Construction environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well within a team.
  • Substantial skills and experience in Telecoms or Networking support function.
  • Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting strong technical/control systems transformation projects.
  • Experience in real environment deployments would be advantageous.
  • Experience in LAN, wireless, networks or similar.
  • Experience in CCTV and Access Control systems would be advantageous.
  • Use of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers and Implementation Managers as required. Ensure project processes and standards are followed.
  • Manage the clients’ suppliers ensuring that process is followed for the projects engaged upon.
  • Produce regular reports and maintain folders for all projects as requested.
  • Ensure the handover of projects to relevant departments is carried out smoothly, in a timely manner and that all documentation is accurately produced.
  • Act as the client’s focal point for project co-ordination with planning-supervisors, construction managers and various airport clients where required.
  • Meet with client to discuss requirement and agree a scope and project timeline if required.
  • Upon acceptance of quotation, assist in the production of work packs.
  • Instigate all necessary update meetings with Framework Partners and resolve any changes to the agreed cost plan and project timeline.
  • Attend any weekly/monthly progress meetings.
  • Provide necessary documentation at sign off.
