Job Description
AECOM is looking for a Project Coordinator - Alternative Delivery to be assigned in Mississauga, ON.
This is a full time role expected to begin in January or May 2025.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering OR Technical Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience in transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- 1+ year Alternative Delivery experience will be an asset.
- Understanding of design and construction standards and regulations;
- Project coordination experience
- Project management experience would be an asset;
- Design and/or review of engineering plans;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Interacts with clients in a professional manner;
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must;
- Able to work well under pressure;
- Detail oriented, adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing workloads;
- Self-starter, ability to multi-task
Responsibilities:
- Provide project coordination / control and review the designs and construction of infrastructure projects.
- Project coordinator for transportation projects.
- Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks.
- Typical duties will include:
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings
- Monitor project costs and budgets
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports
- Review documents (drawings, reports, contractor shop drawings, etc.)
- Acts as liaison between design teams and project management
- Assist in preparation of project schedules and monitor progress of work
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
