Job Description
AECOM is looking for a Project Coordinator - Alternative Delivery to be assigned in Mississauga, ON.
This is a full time role expected to begin in January or May 2025.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering OR Technical Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience in transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 1+ year Alternative Delivery experience will be an asset.
  • Understanding of design and construction standards and regulations;
  • Project coordination experience
  • Project management experience would be an asset;
  • Design and/or review of engineering plans;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Interacts with clients in a professional manner;
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must;
  • Able to work well under pressure;
  • Detail oriented, adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing workloads;
  • Self-starter, ability to multi-task

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project coordination / control and review the designs and construction of infrastructure projects.
  • Project coordinator for transportation projects.
  • Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Typical duties will include:
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings
  • Monitor project costs and budgets
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports
  • Review documents (drawings, reports, contractor shop drawings, etc.)
  • Acts as liaison between design teams and project management
  • Assist in preparation of project schedules and monitor progress of work
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
