POSITION TITLE: Project Coordinator
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time permanent – salary
LOCATION: Various project sites across Ontario

Our services include Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) Construction, Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, General Contracting, and Specialty Contracting. POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will act as the key support member to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent on renewable and/or automotive construction projects. In this role, you will perform project coordination duties (field progress tracking, planning and scheduling, maintaining logs, and overall support of all project management functions). You will also provide leadership to the project team throughout the project life cycle with critical thinking and contributing to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Alltrade’s head office is located in Cambridge, Ontario, however, the Project Coordinator position would be required to work directly on project sites across Ontario.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience related to the responsibilities defined above
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university or equivalent experience
  • Experience with renewable energy (solar or BESS) is an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project or P6
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and concepts
  • Strong communication and practical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team as well as an individual
  • Willingness to work on various project sites across Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
  • Assist the PM with drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows
  • Chair project meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and performance
  • Maintain logs for change orders, RFI, submittals, action items and risks.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Track and manage change notice and change order documents
  • Communicate ideas for improving project processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and promote a continuous improvement culture among your team
  • Keep the Project Manager and project stakeholders informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
  • Actively participate with problem resolution and risk mitigation initiatives
