THE OPPORTUNITY
Altus Group is currently seeking a candidate in the position of Project Coordinator based out of our Calgary office to join our Development Advisory business unit. Working with our Project Management team, the Project Coordinator will assist in the provision of project management services by organizing and controlling project activities under the direction of Project Managers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Project Management, Construction, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of practical experience in commercial real estate or related fields.
- Basic project management skills with an understanding of commercial and contractual issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with executive-level internal and external clients.
- Organizational and detail-oriented with the ability to manage varying business needs.
- Proficiency in project management technology and tools.
- Understanding or interest of the construction industry and real estate development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with drafting project proposals, budgets, cash flows, schedules, and tracking contract documentation.
- Manage change orders during design and construction phases, including tracking, logging, and issuing documentation.
- Coordinate information exchange between designers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project progress.
- Engage in design, management, and construction meetings, preparing detailed meeting minutes.
- Proactively manage project issues and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Review site reports and draft monthly update reports for clients.
- Generate project management reports and ensure contract deliverables are achieved.
- Maintain all project documentation, databases, and records, including action item lists.
- Conduct field reviews and site visits to inspect project progress (some travel required).
- Provide administrative support, including managing invoices, maintaining filing, and researching real estate market trends.
