POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager, the Jordan’s Principle Project Coordinator is to assist with various operational tasks, helps streamline processes, and supports project execution to optimize efficiency and productivity. The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administrating, Social Work, or related field.
  • Additional training or certifications in project management or operational processes would be considered an asset.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, operations, or project coordination role, preferably in a public sector or community-based setting.
  • Experience working in or supporting programs related to First Nations, social services or health care is an asset
  • Proficient in MS programs -Word, excel, outlook
  • Familiarity with Jordan’s Principle or similar initiatives is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work, particularly when preparing reports and tracking data.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle operational challenges in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Adherence to AMC policies and procedures, with particular attention to attendance and professional ethics.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours as required.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
  • Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check and clear Child Abuse Checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager with the coordination and execution of daily operations to ensure smooth program functioning
  • Help develop, implement, and refine operational procedures, internal processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor and track the progress of ongoing projects, providing updates and feedback to the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager to address operational issues or escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, statistics, and documents related to operational performance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. reports, stats, and documents related to operational performances.
  • Maintain and organize filing systems (physical and digital) for operational documents and materials
  • Work closely with the team members to support the objectives and ensure organizational goals are aligned.
