Description:

  • Part time (0.6 FTE) maximum term position up to 30 December 2025
  • Salary range: $98,902 - $123,624 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
  • Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination and strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience drafting documents requiring a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent research, written and policy analysis skills and an ability to think both strategically and operationally.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the legal assistance sector and Victoria Legal Aid’s role in a mixed model of service delivery, and a commitment to social justice principles.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for coordinating and progressing the next steps in the implementation of the Equitable Briefing Strategy. The Equitable Briefing Strategy is an organisational-wide project that is managed by VLA Chambers. The Strategy aims to maximise briefing of advocates who reflect community diversity and possess the skills and knowledge required for a brief.
You will be working with internal and external stakeholders on progressing project initiatives. You will also deliver written and verbal updates, with recommendations and reports to Chambers staff and senior leadership. This role will lead phases of the project and assist with other related projects and initiatives.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
