JOB SUMMARY

Salary Pending Review
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in various day-to-day activities associated with managing capital projects. This role coordinates with various individuals (internal and/or external), as directed by the Senior Project Manager, to facilitate planning, execution, monitoring and reporting. In addition, the role is responsible for financial, project and administrative support, and for project specific communication & collaboration within cross functional teams. The role is required to independently manage some Tier 3 projects as required and under the direction of the Senior Project Manager.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and qualifications may be considered.
  • Post-secondary degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Additional training in ISO55000 methods/approaches, Reliability Engineering and Accounting/Finance

KNOWLEDGE

  • 2 to 5 years of project coordination experience, preferably in municipal infrastructure.
  • Registered with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
  • Knowledge of project management tools/software.
  • Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Certified with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.
  • Designation as a Professional Engineer with the PEO is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must maintain ability to travel in a timely manner to other offices, work locations or sites as authorized by the Corporation for business reasons.
  • In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate.
