Description:
OlamAid e.V. is an international aid organisation based in Berlin, dedicated to responding to the evolving needs of crisis and conflict-affected populations. Our mission is to support communities as they transition from crisis to recovery, rehabilitation, and sustainable living.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Project Coordinator for Internation Aid at OlamAid, you will play a key role in enabling aid for people in need. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the project’s planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting, while collaborating with different stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation.

Position Type: Part-time / Full-time
Length: 1 year contract *with the aim to prolong
Tasks
1. Project Control
- Programmatic Control- Manage and oversee the project lifecycle, from planning through implementation to reporting, ensuring each phase meets project goals and standards.
- Budget Control- In collaboration with the Finance Department and with their support, monitor project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Technical capacities- In collaboration with the Professional Department, maintain basic technical knowledge of the aid methods used within the project, to enhance the quality of work and strengthen evaluation. Being a first point of contact for the project team on general technical issues and a liaison point between them and the Professional Department according to the need.
2. Leadership
- Team Leadership- Lead a project team in a manner that enhances motivation and feeling of fulfilment, and advocate for a collaborative, solutions-focused atmosphere where challenges are seen as opportunities for growth. Show personal example as a role model, and be on the side of the persons you are managing.

3. Networking & Partnership
- Professional & Institutional Connections- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including organisations, government agencies, and key figures relevant to the project’s geographical and thematic scope.
- Funding Opportunities- Identify potential funding sources within the project’s geographic and thematic area and collaborate with the Development Department to acquire fund sources.
4. Visibility
- Project Promotion- Enhance project’s visibility by ensuring the creation of communication materials and collaborating with the Development & Communication Department to share impact through relevant channels.
Requirements
- Academic degree in international development, humanitarian Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in an international aid setting.
- Proven understanding of project management cycles, budgeting, and basic technical methods for aid delivery.
- Experience in team leadership with a focus on fostering positive and collaborative environments.
- Strong networking and partnership development skills, particularly within the humanitarian or development sectors.
- Proficiency in English and German; additional language skills relevant to project regions (e.g., French, Arabic, Spanish) are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally to project sites, including remote or challenging locations.
