MSB is a strong force in both new construction and mechanical service within the GTA. The team is comprised of plumbers, steam fitters, sheet metal and service technicians making it a complete mechanical contractor. With the recent acquisition by Kolostat Inc it will enhance market position and allow for fully integrated mechanical design and construction to better service clients needs. We are looking for candidates to fill the following position:

PROFILE AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience working in the construction industry in an admin role would be an must.
  • A positive attitude and personality is required for this role.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office including: JONAS, PROCORE, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques and strategies, an asset
  • Demonstrated mechanical trades experience is an asset (sheet metal, piping, etc.)
  • Experience with project or construction management software is an asset
  • An ability to read, understand, interpret construction plans is desired
  • Well organized with an ability to effectively set and manage competing priorities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels
  • Sense of urgency and drive to succeed. Must be comfortable working within a deadline driven fast paced environment
  • Resourceful, energetic and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Driver’s license required
  • Strong team player

Responsibilities:

  • Work in junction with the project and estimating teams
  • Coordinate with site foreman and sub trades
  • Obtaining shop drawings from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Preparation and logging of shop drawings for issue to the general contractor/owner and engineers. Follow up and distribution of the approved shop drawings and all project related documents to the manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Updating of the construction schedule
  • Copy and distribution of drawings and change orders
  • Assisting project managers, and accounting team with monthly draws
  • Track project specific invoice dates to ensure invoices are received by due date
  • Preparation and management of commissioning and project specific quality control forms
  • Organize and obtain drawings and specifications from our clients for distribution to our sub-contractors
  • Scan drawings and specifications and forward to subs
  • Track and update project schedules as required
  • Participate in our company operational meetings such as Project Delivery meetings, staff meetings, Project Status review meetings
  • Work with the safety specialist to distribute and maintain project safety records and procedures
