Responsibilities:
This position serves as an Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Project Coordinator for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR), Mission Integration Department (CT-MI). CTR supports U.S. national security by preventing the acquisition, proliferation, and use of WMD, related materials, technologies, and expertise. The cooperative nature of CT’s efforts contributes to stability, cooperation, and expanding U.S. influence in partner states and their regions. MI’s Department provides support to the entire CT directorate and offices in 22 countries in the following areas: manpower/ human capital, training, travel, knowledge and records management, acquisition, onboarding, export control, records management, cost support controls, and property/ facilities.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for advising MI clients and A&AS support staff on all aspects of the MI-Business (MI-B) team, including training engagement and coordination within MI and across CTR; however, the specific subject matter expertise within this group focuses on project management, Federal acquisition, client engagement, and financial management. This position serves as primary administrator of US Government-shared email account on behalf of the MI Partner Training Program Manager, and could serve as administrator for other shared email accounts. The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all products and support delivered to clients meet quality and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skillset, with experience in program and project management, acquisition, communication, and relationship-building. The Project Coordinator reports to the MI-B Lead. This position will initially support the MI Partner Training Program Manager, but may support other functional areas within MI-B as appropriate in the future.

Required Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess a BA/BS and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational and records management skills
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills
  • Initiative and proactiveness to recognize organizational gaps and needs
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suites
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Program and project management support experience
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more of the following fields: project management, federal acquisition, client engagement, and financial management.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, including resourcing, tracking, following-up, and following-through to project completion
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with several stakeholders across different programs
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance or higher, or ability to obtain a U.S. clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate business and project management acumen
  • Receive and coordinate technical reviews and approvals and conducts records management for all training deliverables
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop course goals and content materials through a material review process
  • Maintain Partner Training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and desktop procedures
  • Administer partner training specific requests within All-Partner Access Network (APAN), issuing approvals of user account requests, as well as uploading and maintaining current and accurate repository of approved training materials
  • Drafts on-schedule, high-quality deliverables to inform decision making and administer MI’s efforts (e.g., talking points, analyses, briefings, summaries, standard operating procedures)
  • Maintain knowledge management of current and historical documents for internal and client distribution
  • Manage the program teams deliverable review tracker and email account
  • Schedule and facilitate bi-weekly meetings with clients and internal stakeholders including development of agendas, drafting and finalizing fo meeting minutes and tracking of action items
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Professional certification in a relevant field
  • Certified Scrum Master or PMP Certification
  • DTRA CTR, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), or Counter WMD (CWMD) experience
