Description:

Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of a Program Manager (including Associate or Senior level), the Project Coordinator is a key member of a project team, working closely with the other project team members, Technical Services, and Quality Assurance. The Project Coordinator supports day-to-day project activities based on predefined production requirements and communicated project scope. As assigned by the manager, the role may be to communicate with clients on day-to-day items such as clarification of work to be performed, project status updates, and provide timelines for delivery. Tasks may include but are not limited to client data management, project set up, scheduling, quote preparation, project file organization, and placing tasks with the Language Delivery (LxD) teams.
The Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the completion of non-client-facing project activities to assist the Project Manager in the successful execution of client projects. This includes resource allocation and task coordination for a variety of localization projects. The Project Coordinator will actively participate in meetings to discuss open and emerging business issues for assigned accounts and make recommendations for improvements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent in Business, English, and Foreign Language, Social or Applied Sciences or related field.
  • Successful customer service/account management experience, generally a minimum of one year.
  • Translation industry experience (at least one year) strongly preferred.
  • Verbal and written fluency in at least one foreign language a plus.

Responsibilities:

Client Service

  • Supports team with regards to client requirements, needs and requests such as asset management, reporting, and meetings.

Project Management

  • Engages in standard quote preparation.
  • Launches and coordinates standard projects which includes functions such as scheduling, resource allocation, and work assignments.
  • Performs administrative duties which include project closures, Translation Memory updates, and folder structure maintenance.
  • Produces reports and develops internal post-mortems to help improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Keeps project schedules on track and ensures on-time delivery.
  • Ensures projects are completed within budget.
  • Project work may be reviewed by Project Manager.

Resource Coordination

  • Engages with the LxD teams. May create and send POs to resources or provide other support.
  • Ensures project resources have the necessary tools and information to accomplish tasks.
  • Alerts resources of schedule or scope changes.
  • Provides feedback to Supply Chain on resource performance.

Account Development

  • Supports Business Development, Marketing, Account Management, and extended teams as necessary.
  • Supports execution of approved account opportunities and their implementation.
