JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is for maternity leave coverage, anticipated to last between 12 and 18 months. There may also be an opportunity for a permanent role following this period, depending on business needs and performance. A Project Coordinator at Terra is responsible for the daily operational aspects of archaeological projects, crew support, business operations, and corporate initiatives, including Indigenous Partnerships. Success in this role demands exceptional time management and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate efficiently with clients and internal teams to meet project deadlines. The Project Coordinator will organize and communicate task-specific details, serving as the central liaison between team members and managers to ensure seamless project execution.

As the Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating project management activities, resources, and information
  • Breaking down projects into manageable tasks and setting clear timeframes
  • Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Assigning tasks to internal teams and assisting with schedule management
  • Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that may arise
  • Ensuring accurate data entry of daily labor, equipment, and expenses for payroll submission
  • Approving accounts receivable invoices for clients
  • Performing other duties as required to support project and business operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Post secondary education preferred
  • Practical experience with flowcharts, technical documentation, and project schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
