Description:

The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and streamlining operations for Wilson Plumbing and Wilson Electric. This position focuses on schedule forecasting, cash flow trends, and labour allocation while providing strategic and operational support to leadership and project teams. With a strong background in mid-rise and high-rise construction and Microsoft Project expertise, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of project coordination or management experience and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Experience:


    • Minimum 5 years of project coordination or management experience in construction, with a focus on mid-rise and high-rise projects.

    • Experience working with both plumbing and electrical trades is an asset.
    • Technical Skills:


      • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is mandatory.

      • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, financial management, and resource planning.
      • Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with other project management tools.

        Responsibilities:

        • Direct Support to Leadership and Project Teams:
        • Collaborate closely with the Vice President to manage priorities, oversee project updates, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
        • Support project managers in tracking milestones, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
        • Prepare and deliver detailed reports, schedules, and presentations for internal and client-facing meetings.
        • Project Scheduling:
        • Create, maintain, and optimize project schedules using Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with deadlines and deliverables.
        • Monitor progress and identify potential risks or delays, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
        • Coordinate with site supervisors, trades, and suppliers to manage resource availability and adherence to timelines.
        • Cash Flow Management:
        • Analyze and monitor cash flow trends across projects, providing forecasts and insights to support financial planning.
        • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of materials within budget.
        • Prepare financial reports for leadership, identifying opportunities to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
        • Labour Allocation:
        • Develop and manage labour schedules, ensuring optimal workforce utilization across multiple projects.
        • Work with project managers and site supervisors to address labour shortages or surpluses.
        • Track and report on productivity metrics, providing recommendations to improve efficiency.
        • Project Coordination:
        • Serve as the primary liaison between project managers, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and efficient issue resolution.
        • Assist with documentation, including change orders, RFIs, compliance reports, and project timelines.
        • Conduct site visits to verify work aligns with project specifications and schedules.
