Description:

Worksite Safety is looking for a Project Coordinator to join its collaborative team that is serving hundreds of thousands of Canadians through engaging occupational health and safety courses, innovative software and advisory services. We are a fast-moving, product development focused organization, leveraging technology to drive growth within the Health & Safety services industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of Agile concepts and demonstrated ability to excel in an Agile environment
  • Project leadership experience in a product development environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Experience providing mentorship/leadership to direct reports
  • Experience managing budgets and resources
  • Very strong organizational, task management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to display a strong sense of urgency
  • Customer and goal focused - needs to understand the importance of the project to the business.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-phase development projects from design to release
  • Understanding of Scrum or Shape Up methodologies considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the project life cycle with cross-functional project teams (Instructional Design and Design predominantly), while collaborating with stakeholders and contributors to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-scope delivery
  • Oversee internal IT projects and day-to-day IT tasks, and act as the manager to IT Support Associate
  • Develop a deep understanding of our critical success factors, the marketplace and our competitive standing as it relates to each project
  • Work with the stakeholders to define requirements, clearly communicate project goals to the team
  • Help identify risk early that might cause a project to deviate from the scope, budget or timeline; communicate these risks to stakeholders and offer solutions.
  • Maintain a resourcing plan and report on resource availability and challenges to the Director of Operations
  • Publish and monitor metrics concerning team throughput (e.g. on-time delivery), to inform and influence initiatives
  • Lead ‘stand up’ meetings for all projects as a facilitator, assisting project teams in their execution of the project plan while removing bottlenecks
  • Proactively and independently look to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement
