SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure HSSE goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
  • Safe delivery and handover of the Project to OMV, sustainably, safely, on time, within budget, ensuring that a quality product is produced that represents ‘best value’ for OMV and their Stakeholders.
  • Responsible for all management aspects, other than day-to-day work allocation and supervision, of the PMC and the associated PMC Contracts and for appointing qualified, experienced Project personnel to deliver the work on time within the agreed cost plan, safely and to International Quality standards.
  • To ensure that PMC personnel are competent to perform their duties relating to the scope of work as identified in the PMC Contract.
  • To provide leadership in the development and implementation of processes, procedures and systems utilized by the PMT.
  • To ensure the Project is adequately resourced with the correct disciplines and size to deliver the PMC to the requirements of the PMC Contract.
  • To provide independent Project Management Consultancy services in coordination with the PMT, to provide technical opinion, and advice related to short falls, recovery plans, minimizing potential risks and monitoring the Project progress.

Principal Accountabilities: -

  • Champion the Project Safety culture, through behaviors and engagement activities.
  • To provide input to the overall management of the Project and ensure that the Project is delivered on time and executed within budget.
  • To make sure that the Project delivers against agreed sustainability targets, both delivery and operational.
  • To make sure that the Project is delivered within agreed HSSE and QA/QC requirements as agreed with OMV.
  • Manage the PMC resources to ensure they integrate and coordinate all, suppliers, consultants and Contractors to deliver the Project objectives in an efficient and effective way.
  • Ensuring the PMC Contract is managed and delivered to OMV’s technical satisfaction.
  • To provide the overall management of the PMC services ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Programme, HSSE Plan, and Project Execution Plan for the assigned Projects under the PMC Contract to OMV.
  • Functional management ensuring systems are in place to manage holidays, expenses, training and performance evaluation.
  • Reputation management ensuring Kent is recognised as a competent and professional organisation with the resources and systems to effectively provide Project Management Services to OMV.
  • Select all temporary and permanent PMC personnel appointments for OMV final approval.
  • Understand Contract obligations and ensure that all Kent staff are all aware of their obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act and equivalent local and international standards.
  • Identifying areas of concern with respect to progress of the assigned Project and recommending corrective actions wherever required and executing when directed by OMV.
  • Participate in key OMV reviews and meetings as required.
  • Lead and participate in weekly assigned Project reviews.
  • Participate in Project Management Plan reviews for the Project, and PMT key activities.
  • Provide notification of any potential commercial risk or opportunity to Kent Management for further action.
  • Develop a good team spirit within the PMT personnel and encourage team working with Contractors and other groups.
  • Provide input into PMS team forums, discussion groups, new initiatives etc. as required.
  • Participate in the development of Kent initiatives and procedures by: -
  • Leading the overall PMC Team developing initiatives and applying effective Engineering and Services Management of the assigned Projects.
  • Manage the issue of progress and information reports as required under the PMC Contract. Receive and distribute to Project team all relevant communications with adequate guidance where action by others is required
  • Assist the OMV Project Director and the PMT in reviewing FEED/EPCM Contractor’s Construction planning activities, pre-commissioning and Commissioning procedures to verify that these are in accordance with overall Project requirements.
  • Assist the OMV Project Director and the PMT in managing the Construction work including pre-commissioning, Commissioning and hand over performed by FEED/EPCM Contractor(s) or their Subcontractors, to verify that such work is performed in compliance with the Project Specifications, safety regulations, and that workmanship is in accordance with appropriate international quality standards.
  • Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems, responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor.
  • Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time.
  • Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
