Description:
YOUR MISSION / OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
Smartenergy Germany GmbH founded back in 2018, is moving to its next development stage with the establishment of a new international hub in Hamburg, Germany. We are therefore recruiting for a new position based in Hamburg.
We are looking for a motivated self driven Project Development Manager who has got the motivation and spirit to originate and develop projects for the production of Green Hydrogen and its derivates.
YOUR PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in German (ideally mother tongue)
- Fluent in English (Company language)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the Hydrogen Business or Project Development in utility scale renewables
- Experience with German Hydrogen framework/legislation, permitting process and PPA agreements Team management
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Microsoft package user

DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Desire to build an innovative Solar PV business
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines and budgets
EDUCATION
- BSc in engineering and/or economics (Ideally environmental background)

Responsibilities:
- Originate, develop and monitor projects with the aim to produce Hydrogen and its derivatives
- Identify and secure/acquire areas suitable for the construction of H2 projects
- Develop and responsibly grow and own a project pipeline through proactive and independent direct approach
- Coordination and implementation of project development in an international and interdisciplinary team.
- Support the management in negotiations by preparing decision templates and reports
- As a representative of Smartenergy, represent and negotiate the projects before authorities and other public bodies
- Development and control of supporting local marketing strategies.
- Support the management team in negotiations, preparing investment memos & reports and conducting due diligence by ensuring projects meet financing and technical requirements
- Select and manage local businesses to partner and consultants in order to deliver projects to Ready to Build (RTB) stage
