Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
A critical leadership role, reporting to the Group Manager Major Projects and Construction, as the advocate and accountable owner of the Yanco Delta Wind Farm Project, a critical new infrastructure project that will support the Generation portfolio with an expected 1500MW.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS?
- lead the successful implementation of the project through the ECI process to FID, then construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations
- build a team to drive the project to a successful outcome and work collaboratively with matrix staff across Origin
- Lead by example in setting HSE behaviours and developing an HSE-focused safety-first culture on site
- Drive a focussed commercial perspective, including an outward focus, awareness of delivery cycle times, and professional completion of work products
- Inspire confidence and urgency within the group and across the Business Unit for the delivery of timely, high-quality service to internal and external customers
- Manage the end-to-end cost, schedule, risk & opportunity, and quality assurance from development initiation through construction and handover to Operations, with a capital expenditure of over $4B.
- Manage the interface; this project will be a split contract arrangement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial requirements, developing, implementing, and operating budgets for activities relevant to the role
- Lead development of tender and contract packages to support regulatory framework
