Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

Ansible Motion creates and deploys high-fidelity Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators to automotive, motorsport and research organisations around the world to place real people in direct contact with virtual vehicles.
An opportunity has arisen for a project engineer to join our team. The Project engineer will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects that include customer-facing driving simulators and internal R&D initiatives. The individual will be accountable for ensuring their projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, resource planning, and a high attention to detail with the ability to manage and complete tasks promptly and concurrently.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Responsible for leading certain high-profile projects as the designated project owner ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Communicating with international customers on all aspects of their project, including collating engineering information to clarify scope, timing, and technical details, and responding to customer requests and questions.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Project plan creation using Gantt charts and task management, forming project documentation such as Internal Scope of Supply (ISoS), specification presentations, and project Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Project tracking and delivery; liaising with internal stakeholders, creating management information and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports (i.e. weekly and monthly project reports, schedule, cost/profit, risk management, customer satisfaction).
  • Ensuring factory acceptance tests (FAT), installation and commissioning activities and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) are successfully completed.
  • Undertaking company-level resource planning and liaising with other groups to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet targets.
