PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management - managing cost, schedule (MS Project), resources, risk management - PMP Certificate is an asset.
  • Working experience of overall engineering disciplines – systems, software, hardware development, certification for the aerospace electronics product.
  • Working knowledge/familiarity with standards, DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160 is an asset.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and coordinate with required stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Track timeline to delivery in high fidelity and report progress to program management.
  • Experience with managing engineering changes and non-conformances through established processes.
  • Experience with executive communication, ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent customer and supplier management skills.
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integrated product development team working on safety-critical embedded controllers to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Establish and maintain detailed technical plans, estimates, and schedules.
  • Facilitate scope/requirement discussions with technical teams and customer.
  • Lead the solution definition process from requirements definition through design, development, validation and verification, and introduction to production.
  • Ensure that project objectives are communicated to the project team and monitor that all technical project activities are aligned with the project schedule.
  • Track and report program progress, costs, risks, and milestones.
  • Lead internal and external design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Aerospace Engineering Processes.
  • Coordinate proposal and quotation activities for RFP/RFI submission.
  • Responsible for the Engineering Solution.
