As a Substation Project Engineer within our Operations Team, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of high-quality, sustainable projects, ensuring compliance and safety across all operations. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact in the power industry, working on a project located in Peterhead.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver engineered solutions, effectively briefing working parties.
  • Ensure activities are delivered to program, cost, and quality standards in a safe and sustainable way.
  • Accurately monitor and record project progress, maintaining comprehensive records and daily diaries.
  • Lead and develop a thriving project environment, promoting safety and collaboration within the team.
  • Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) for both in-house and subcontractor activities.
  • Manage health and safety protocols, providing improvement solutions where needed.
  • Work with Project Management to conduct risk/opportunity reviews, manage the Risk Register, and implement necessary changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through workshops and development of operational milestones.
  • Plan resource allocation, requisition materials and equipment, and ensure compliance with project objectives and KPIs.
  • Support Project Management and step in as a deputy when required.
