Privately owned for over 45 years, and now one of the UK’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our busy and expanding team based in Darwen, Lancashire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD
  • Proven engineering and fabrication knowledge/experience
  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise closely with customers
  • Ability to work under pressure, both on own initiative and as part of a busy team
  • Ability to handle multiple varied projects from order through to completion
  • Responsible, conscientious, punctual, highly organized, and self-motivated

Responsibilities:

Essential:

  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings noting this will form part of the interview process.
  • Good all-round engineering and fabrication background.
  • Preparing, schedule and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
  • Generating Autocad manufacturing drawings for customer approval.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise closely with key account clients over multiple projects.
  • Manage the projects from initial enquiry to completion.
  • Knowledge of all welding methods and techniques.
  • Full driving licence.

Desirable:

  • CPCS and/or CSCS accreditation.
  • Previously worked within the security industry.
  • PAF accreditation.
