Description:

  • General:
  • Responsible for civils workpackage
  • Key Diageo point of contact with package suppliers
  • Update Engineering Project Manager on a weekly basis
  • Update monthly status reports
  • Attend face to face meetings and site visits, as required
  • Chair package workstream meetings. Ensure actions are captured and closed off.
  • Ensure project documentation is stored in the project folder as per file structure.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Technical, Environmental, Risk & Compliance etc.)
  • Work with and provide relevant information to external consultants as required (Design Team, Project Validation, Energy Efficient Design, Project Controls etc.)
  • Work alongside other package leads to coordinate delivery of the project.
  • Health & Safety
  • Prioritise H&S during the Design & Implementation phases
  • Ensure suppliers are providing information to update Engineering H&S Stats
  • Attend and support HAZOP’s, HAZDEM and HAZOP’s etc
  • Contribute and lead by example on overall project H&S strategy
  • Carry out H&S Audits
  • Ensure Principal Contractor is carrying out 3rd party audits
  • Design
  • Support the development of the high level concept design.
  • Review, comment and verify consultant design in line with project URS.
  • Ensure design meets Diageo GRMS Standards
  • Ensure excellent co-ordination between consultant teams and other package suppliers
  • Review Design with H&S and Compliance Team – PUWER, DSEAR etc.
  • Assist with Project Validation for specific package
  • Track and ensure the necessary Statutory Consents are in place.
  • Cost
  • Agree budget for civils package
  • Manage package budget and update on a monthly basis
  • Raise supplier Purchase Orders
  • Manage supplier Purchase Orders
  • Provide cashflow for package and update on a monthly basis
  • Provide relevant package cost information to enable Asset Capitalization
  • Undertake Value Engineering as and when required to get the best solution for Diageo
  • Procurement
  • Assist with the development of package procurement strategy
  • Work closely with Diageo procurement
  • Support the package tendering process
  • Ensure correct technical information issued to suppliers for tendering
  • Carry out technical review of tender returns
  • Support overall assessment of returns and appointment of supplier
  • Ensure building contract is in place prior to raising PO
  • Programme
  • Assist with development of master integrated programme
  • Ensure this is kept up to date and on track for relevant package
  • Scope Changes & Variations
  • Responsible for managing any variations to package contract
  • Identify and highlight any scope changes to Project Manager
  • Follow relevant variation & scope change processes
  • Quality
  • Ensure design meets Spirit Character Quality
  • Work with Technical Team to achieve no impact to character
  • Work with the Operations and Brand teams on Building aesthetics
  • Implementation
  • Attend site on a weekly basis during implementation.
  • Review progress vs programme to ensure project on track
  • Overview and support package commissioning
  • Ensure suppliers have the required information in order to carry out their contracted works
  • Travel to attend FAT and pre-delivery inspections as and when required
  • Support during snagging process – review snag list, add snags, close off and provide regular updates

  • Experience in the Distilling / Brewing Industry
  • Design Team Coordination
  • Ability to influence 3rd party design to meet Diageo requirements

  • Drivers licence to travel to site
  • Architecture/Civils/Structural engineering qualification(s)
  • AMP or similar Project Management qualification(s)
  • NEBOSH or H&S qualification(s)
