Description:

Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater
Are you an enthusiastic Project Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Are you experienced in project activities and have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills? Are you the type of person who likes a fast-paced environment and likes to be challenged?

WHO YOU ARE

Being a Project Engineer at EDF, you’ll have strong project or engineering experience, ideally within engineering or energy sectors, and a relevant degree. A project management qualification, like APMP, would be a plus.
Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams, along with knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and budget monitoring. Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to produce reports and manage project documentation.
We’re seeking someone with a proven track record in delivering projects in regulated environments, who can ensure quality and follow system processes effectively.
If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you!
Closing date for applications: 2nd October 2024

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager in delivering work according to safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, define the work scope for contracts, and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time. You’ll also maintain project documentation, including project briefs and quality plans.
Develop and execute strategies aligned with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. You’ll track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues, while ensuring project schedules are consistent and any discrepancies are escalated.
Chair meetings, ensure contractual requirements are met, and maintain strong relationships with team members. You’ll also ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while reviewing contractor documents and drawings.
