JOB SUMMARY
Fraction Energy Services provides a full range or water management services to the Canadian oil and gas industry. Our company is hiring a Project Engineer to join our industry leading Engineering Team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for a wide variety of duties including designing water transfer systems, providing technical and operational support to Fraction field and sales staff, and liaising with Fraction’s customers. This role requires an engineer who has a broad level of experience of water management systems and oil and gas operations. The position will be based out of Fraction’s Grande Prairie field office and will require regular field travel.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum or Environmental) from an accredited Canadian institution.
- Must be an Engineer/Technologist in good standing with APEGA/ASET.
- Must have a working knowledge of process flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license
- Must maintain a valid H2S Alive and First Aid certifications.
- Previous water management, and oil and gas experience are assets.
- A strong understanding of British Columbia Energy Regulator and Alberta Energy Regulator regulations and guidelines as well as well as engineering knowledge and awareness of industry standards as it applies to water management systems.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Must be able to work within interdisciplinary teams.
- Must be able to provide sound analytical and interpretational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented, self-reliant, and able to work without direct supervision.
- Experience with SCADA/Telemetry systems an asset.
- Be able to prioritize tasks, adapt to changes and complete projects with tight deadlines.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office desktop applications and able to learn various specialized data management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Fraction’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities.
- Design water management systems that meet Client’s operational requirements.
- Scout projects, develop project proposals, work plans and monitor job costs.
- Provide technical support to Fraction’s operations Teams and Customers.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review and assess new technologies and workflows.
- Travel to remote locations will be required.
