The H.S. Marston site in Wolverhampton has been providing products for aerospace use for over 90 years; Today we supply an integrated range of heat transfer and fluids management products for commercial and military markets, including heat exchangers, metallic and flexible hoses, fuel manifolds and ozone converters.
This means you won’t get better exposure to a field you’ve set your heart on while studying for a technically based degree.

We are looking to offer an undergraduate an opportunity to join us in a 12-month Industrial Placement within our Engineering department, challenging existing design philosophy and supporting the introduction of new developments.
We are looking for a project / technically minded individual to gain ‘on the job’ experience in Project Engineering. The role will involve supporting project managers to progress new product developments projects. You will need to communicate with many areas of the business, track and present progress and lead small projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - STUDYING TOWARDS A DEGREE INVOLVING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES, IDEALLY:

  • Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar

Responsibilities:

ANTICIPATED RESPONSIBILITIES BEING:

Implementation of Company best practice Excel based project control tower on 3 key projects.
Convert selected projects over from Power point based status reports to the new control tower format
Produce “how to guides” to assist in the use of this monitoring and reporting process
Implement Power BI based Resource forecast and planning software across the Engineering and Programmes function
Take the current Excel based resource sheet and covert this to a Power BI driven package.
Produce “how to guides” for the use of the Power BI process.
Manage 1 off project over duration of placement.
Take project through Collins Management System gate process with Senior Project manager.
