A new Project Engineer vacancy has arisen in our fast-growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Engineering Project team.
LOCATION: Skegness, Lincolnshire with regular attendance at the project site
Responsibilities:
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to senior executives, take responsibility for delivering major capital projects safely, on time, on budget and to agreed specifications. Play a core role in these projects from concept to delivery and hand over.
The role will involve:
- Developing engineering solutions at the forefront of innovation in the laundry industry.
- Managing virtual teams, coordinating and motivating these groups to deliver project outcomes.
- Taking a structured and flexible approach to project management tools and behaviours, ultimately being outcomes focussed.
- Identifying and managing the project critical path, including managing risks and opportunities.
- Employing a completer / finisher mindset, being comfortable in the detail of addressing snags to realise the initial vision, taking project outcomes from good to excellent.
- Contributing to key project management practices, including time / resource planning, cost planning, creation and management of specifications and other key records, project review, reporting and communication.
- Selecting contractors and suppliers and managing them as partners.
- Understanding and engaging project stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
- Collaborating with key business functions, including Health and Safety and Quality, to deliver projects that are safe and meet customer expectations.
- Occasional attendance at Micronclean’s other UK locations.
- Occasional national and international travel to visit suppliers, contractors and exhibitions.
