JOB POSTING – PROJECT ENGINEER
Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage the development and implementation of capital projects. This role ensures that community infrastructure projects are completed successfully, on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certification: Ability to register with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in civil engineering within consulting, construction, or government.
- Project Management: PMP designation or equivalent is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Experience with construction, appraisal, feasibility analysis, community consultation, and municipal approval processes.
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
- Key Abilities:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
- Effective organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and reliable.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Manage planning, construction, and maintenance of water, sanitary and storm sewer, and road systems.
- Conduct engineering studies with support from the Planning & Engineering Manager.
- Utilize modeling software for water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater network planning.
- Prepare feasibility studies, construction plans, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate community consultation and engagement events.
