About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Engineer to lead and manage capital equipment projects, commissioning, and automation initiatives in our FMCG manufacturing operations. This role will focus on overseeing the installation and commissioning of new equipment, optimizing automation processes, and ensuring successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage capital equipment projects, from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
- Equipment Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Automation Integration: Oversee the integration of PLCs, HMIs, and control systems (Rockwell Allen Bradley or Siemens) into production lines.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, operations, and automation teams to ensure seamless project execution and minimize disruption to production.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, equipment installation, and commissioning in FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, particularly PLCs (Rockwell Allen Bradley/Siemens), HMI, and SCADA.
- Proven experience leading equipment commissioning and capital projects in a high-speed production environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
