Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

JOB PURPOSE

Unilever Port Sunlight is a large manufacturing site located on the Wirral in the Northwest of England. The site has 3 Homecare factories responsible for the Global supply of multiple products to the markets.
Due to continuous innovation programs, we are it has been identified that there is a need to increase the skills and experience within the Engineering Project Delivery Team.
The candidate will be responsible for providing technical engineering expertise and management of projects in the packing hall and warehouse, particularly supporting the team in the commissioning and handover phases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be part of a project team responsible for the implementation of innovation projects as directed by the Engineering Project Manager. There will also be a need to lead the implementation of small projects and trials independently of the larger team. Further responsibilities will include:

• Ensure that design/installation is complete in a timely fashion and in line with Unilever’s standards.
• Managing site installations ensuring the site’s safety standards and contactor management procedures are rigorously applied (permit to work etc).
• Working with the Procurement team as required to complete the purchasing of the required items/equipment.
• Write specifications and scope documents to the correct standards as to allow the tendering process for key installations.
• Ensure Lean Manufacturing Techniques (Ideally Early Equipment Management EEM) and tools are applied throughout the project lifecycle including the facilitation of critical design review meetings arranged with cross functional teams.
• Leading the commissioning plans of new packaging line equipment through full validation programs (FAT, SAT, IQ, PQ etc).
• Conducting root cause analysis to understand problems and supporting in solving/close out.
• Management of snag lists alongside the launch team ensuring items are closed out at pace.
