Description:
On behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry we are searching for a Project Engineer to work with Technical Safety of modifications in plants in operation.
Responsibilities:
- As a project engineer for technical safety, you will be working in a multidisciplinary team following topside projects from DG3 to DG4, according to PD03.
- Typical tasks include preparing execution, follow-up of suppliers and participating in QA/QC activities in the projects.
- You will work on projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Norwegian technical requirements and standards, and ability to communicate requirements and show direction towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Positive attitude and a strong team player with a global mindset.
- High ethical standards, and ability to live by our safety and security expectations.
- Good written and communication skills, both in English and Norwegian.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5+ relevant work experience within project support.
- Oil and gas offshore experience is preferred, either from operation support or engineering.
- Experience within all or some of the following technical safety areas of competence is preferred: active fire protection, passive fire protection, escape, evacuation and rescue, and layout design principles and explosion barriers.
- Experience with risk management (ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP), and ability to identify, communicate, and manage risk.
Education:
- Bachelor or Master degree within the field of technical safety, or in another relevant technical discipline like process, mechanical or automation.
- Relevant experience in technical safety may compensate for formal qualifications.
Planned start date: 03/11/2024
Planned end date: 29/05/2025
Stavanger is the preferred work location, but you could also work from Bergen or Stjørdal.
