The Project Engineering Thermal Engineer, based in Letterkenny, Ireland is responsible for customized solutions for two main business sectors: Data Centers, and Telecom. You will design and develop modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests. You will mechanical design on projects (building heating, cooling and ventilation, plumbing and fire suppression systems).

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Responsible for customized solutions for two main business sectors: Data Centers, and Telecom.
  • Designing and developing modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests.
  • Mechanical design on projects (building heating, cooling and ventilation, plumbing and fire suppression systems).Integration with other disciplines; architectural, structural, electrical. Focus on general design, concepts, calculation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering (Process and energy engineering, thermotechnics, modeling and simulations)
  • Required experience 1+ years on similar positions
  • Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), PowerPoint (A), AutoCAD
  • Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit, AutoDesk Autocad
  • English language, independent user (B2)
  • Technical/practical skills: analytical, organizational, meticulous

Responsibilities:

  • Cooperation with the design team in the development of CD (construction documentation) sets
  • Preparation of bill of quantity for the execution of works (equipping modules in the factory)
  • Preparation of manufacturing documentation
  • Engineering supervision and support when equipping modules in the factory (Letterkenny)
  • Engineering support to service team and subcontractors
  • Involvement during the design stage trough content and constructability review, responsible for providing feedback (comments) to the design team.
  • Collaboration with the company operations team (project management, quality control, manufacturing, testing team and construction) in defining a project deployment strategy and executing the project
  • Managing the Construction Administration activities that include:
  • As Built Documentation
  • Installation Manuals
  • FAT procedures (L3)
  • Assisting with Punch list items
  • Etc.
  • Collaborate with local Liebert service and Liebert Helpdesk to improve final product
  • Working on multiple parallel projects
  • Collaborate with local service to improve project implementation
  • Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project executionCoordination with material and service suppliers during project execution
