The Project Engineer will initially start in the Vancouver office until December 2024, then will move to the onsite location in Campbell River.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven project engineer to join our team. The project engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. This rote requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
- Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
- Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure ail project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.
- Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems
